The Orchard

“You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours.”

Psalm 128:2

I don’t know that anything quite marks the joy and passing of the seasons as fruit trees.  From the blossoms of white and pink in the Spring to the fruit and harvest of Summer and Fall; the beautiful display of leaves changing colors as the year winds down, bidding us a robust ado before they slip into their winter’s slumber.

While there’s so much to appreciate in the garden and the vineyard, I can’t help but to marvel about all that God teaches us in the orchard – lessons on stability, longevity, and perseverance in weathering storms and enduring the most intense seasons with grace and beauty, ever-striving to bear much fruit year after year.
