I don’t know if my husband will ever forget the tears I shed in response to him building me my first pergola. It wasn’t that it was massive but it was just right to frame the table for two that would sit under it, serving as the stage for the most delightful chats, times of prayer, times of rest, times of reflection and times of contemplation. I was so excited planting the grapevines on either side of it, as I eagerly anticipated the day those moments would be interrupted but briefly as I stood to pick the fresh grapes, ripening overhead.
Grapes have long been noted for their great impact on heart health. How perfect it is to have mine growing right over the very spot that would serve as the scene for countless memories that would forever make my heart rich.
