Raw “Cheesy” Kale Chips

My kids LOVE these!  Seriously!  Think your kids would never eat kale?  Think again!  These just might be the solution you’ve been looking for!  These babies are loaded with nutrients and enzymes to nourish the family’s health rather than steal from it.  They’re so good, its totally common for half of them to be gone before they’re even fully done.

Ingredients

2 Heads of Kale

1/3 cup Bragg’s Liquid Aminos

1/3 cup Water

1/3 cup Nutritional Yeast

3/4 cup Sesame Seeds, soaked OR raw tahini

1 Garlic Clove

1 Lemon, juice only

Instructions

Remove hard stem from kale and tear into chip-size pieces.  Place in a large mixing bowl and set aside.

In a blender, combine all remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.

Pour mixture over kale leaves and massage until all leaves are covered evenly.

Spread Kale Chips on mesh dehydrator trays.

Place in a dehydrator at 110° until crispy.  (Times may vary.  This usually takes 3-5 hours but can take longer.)

No Dehydrator?  Place in oven on lowest setting and allow to cook just long enough to crisp up.  Times may vary so watch that you don’t burn them.

KALE CHIP HACK:  DO NOT try to straighten out all the leaves.  The folding and crumpling up will give them a better bite and texture.
